Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Welcome to Sit With Me – by T (“Sit With Me”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

These Terms of Service apply when you visit our website, purchase from us, place a custom order, or otherwise use our services. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

We want shopping with Sit With Me to be straightforward, fair and human, so we’ve tried to keep the legal stuff as clear as possible.

1. About Sit With Me

Sit With Me – by T is a small UK-based creative business producing handmade, designed and personalised items.

Our products may include laser-cut and laser-engraved items, vinyl and heat-transfer designs, signs, homeware, gifts, stationery, accessories, emotional wellbeing resources and other handmade or mixed-media creations.

Many pieces are made individually or produced in limited quantities rather than mass-produced.

2. Products and Handmade Variation

We make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph products accurately.

Because many Sit With Me products are handmade, engraved, painted, printed or otherwise individually finished, small variations may occur between the photographs shown and the item you receive.

Natural materials such as wood may also vary in grain, colour, knots and texture. These characteristics are part of the material rather than necessarily being defects.

Colours can also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and your screen settings.

None of this affects your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

3. Limited and One-Off Pieces

Some Sit With Me products are deliberately made in small quantities or as one-off pieces.

Unless a listing specifically says otherwise, purchasing an item does not guarantee that an identical item will be available again.

We may alter, discontinue or introduce products at any time.

4. Custom and Personalised Orders

Custom orders are welcomed.

Where you request personalisation, you are responsible for checking the information you provide, including names, dates, wording, spelling, colours, sizes and other requested details.

We will make your item using the information supplied or otherwise agreed with you.

Where appropriate, we may provide a design or proof for approval before production. Once you approve a proof, you are responsible for checking that the approved details are correct.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you make a mistake when submitting personalisation. If production has not started, we will do our best to amend it.

Once production of a personalised or bespoke item has begun, changes may not be possible.

Under UK consumer law, the usual right to cancel an online purchase within the cooling-off period does not generally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This does not remove your rights if the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights.

5. Orders

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean we have accepted it.

We may decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • an item is unexpectedly unavailable;
  • pricing or product information contains an obvious error;
  • we cannot fulfil the requested customisation;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • we reasonably believe an order involves fraud or misuse; or
  • the requested design contains material we are not willing or legally able to reproduce.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount due to you.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website and will include applicable taxes where required.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Payment is processed through the payment methods available at checkout. We do not directly control third-party payment providers and their own terms may also apply.

We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.

7. Processing and Delivery

Because many products are handmade or made to order, processing times may vary.

Any processing or delivery dates provided are estimates unless we specifically agree otherwise.

We will take reasonable care to prepare and dispatch your order within the timeframe stated or agreed.

If circumstances outside our reasonable control cause a significant delay, we will communicate with you where reasonably possible and your statutory rights will continue to apply.

Please ensure that the delivery information supplied with your order is accurate.

8. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Your cancellation and return rights depend on the type of product purchased and the circumstances of the return.

Non-personalised goods purchased online will normally benefit from the cancellation rights provided by UK consumer law.

Personalised or made-to-specification goods are generally excluded from the statutory cooling-off cancellation right.

However, personalised products are not excluded from your rights concerning faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

Please see our separate Returns & Refund Policy for information about requesting a return, cancellation or refund.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

9. Damaged or Faulty Items

We want you to receive something you are happy with.

If your item arrives damaged, is faulty, is materially different from its description or there is another problem with your order, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and, where useful, photographs showing the issue.

We will deal with faulty or non-conforming goods in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

10. Product Care and Safety

Please follow any care or safety information supplied with a product.

Unless specifically described otherwise, decorative products are not toys and should not be given to young children to play with.

Some products may contain small parts, acrylic, wood, glass, metal, magnets, cords or other materials that require appropriate care.

Products involving candles, lighting or other heat sources should only be used in accordance with the safety instructions provided and should never be left unattended where doing so would create a safety risk.

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, inappropriate storage, failure to follow supplied care instructions or modifications made to a product after purchase, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

11. Emotional Wellbeing Resources

Some Sit With Me products and resources are designed to provide gentle prompts, reflection tools, communication aids or emotional support.

These resources are not medical care, psychological treatment, counselling, diagnosis or crisis services, and they should not be treated as a substitute for professional support where that is needed.

Our intention is to create accessible tools that may help people communicate, reflect, organise their thoughts or feel a little more supported.

If you or somebody else is in immediate danger, please contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original Sit With Me designs, written resources, artwork, graphics, branding, photographs, product concepts and other original content remain the intellectual property of Sit With Me – by T or the relevant rights holder.

Purchasing a physical or digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

Products and designs are supplied for personal use unless commercial use is specifically authorised.

You may not reproduce, copy, redistribute, resell, upload, trace or commercially exploit our original designs or digital resources without permission.

Some products may incorporate properly licensed third-party assets, fonts, graphics or other material. Rights in those elements remain with their respective owners.

13. Customer-Supplied Designs and Logos

Where you ask us to use a logo, photograph, graphic, wording or other material supplied by you, you confirm that you have the necessary permission or rights to use that material for the requested purpose.

We reserve the right to refuse material where we reasonably believe its use may infringe another person’s intellectual property or other legal rights.

14. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website or attempt to interfere with its operation, security or availability.

You must not use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

Links to third-party websites may occasionally be provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.

15. Promotions and Discount Codes

Discount codes and promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions.

Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be exchanged for cash and may not be combined with other offers.

We reserve the right to withdraw or correct a promotion where there has been an obvious mistake, technical problem, fraud or misuse.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase, except where the law provides otherwise.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

17. Privacy

We use personal information to process orders, communicate with customers and operate our business.

Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is collected, used and protected.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally, for example where our products, services or legal obligations change.

The version applying to your purchase will normally be the version in force when your order was placed.

The latest version will be available on our website.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and rights available under the law applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any rights regarding where legal proceedings may be brought that cannot lawfully be excluded.
